The Mequon Soccer Club has the most talented coaching staff in the state, with coaches that have played professionally at every level of the sport, have coached club, high-school, and professional teams, and are strongly and consistently dedicated to the development of young players.

Carlos ("Cacho") Cordoba - Director of Coaching (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Cacho Cordoba holds a USSF-B coaching license and has had extensive playing
and coaching experience, both nationally and internationally. Cordoba played for
the Argentinean National Team, the Boca Juniors (team captain, MVP) and with the
Milwaukee Wave. Cordoba has coached professionally with the MLS Miami Fusion and
Dallas Burn, with the A League Milwaukee Rampage (1995 USISL Champion), with
the NPSL Detroit Rockets, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men and women,
Independiente of the Argentine Premier Division and Chivas, one of the top clubs in the
Mexican Premier League. Cordoba has served as Director of Coaching with Fort Worth
United (TX). Cordoba has been with Mequon United since 1999. Cordoba’s U-13 Girls
won the 2007 Wisconsin State Cup and his U-14 Girls went to the semi-finals.
Jimmy Banks holds a USSF-A coaching license, the highest that can be obtained
through USSF. A strong believer in community, Banks has given back to Milwaukee by
developing urban youth soccer programs, most recently with Whitefish Bay Soccer Club.
Banks has a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he
is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. Banks currently serves as MSOE’s Director
of Intramurals and Club Sports. Banks has been with Mequon United Soccer Club since

Rob Blake holds a USSF-C license and has played and coached globally. Blake grew up playing for clubs in England and played at the collegiate level in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (NAIA), where he was a member of the 23rd ranked regional semifinal team in 2006. Blake then took his talents to Cardinal Stritch University where he served as utility player, excelling in several different positions and obtained a degree in business marketing. Blake has coached with Grimsby League and Humberside County in England and most recently with Whitefish Bay Soccer Club, where he coached both boys and girls and served as marketing coordinator for the club. Blake has coached at Cardinal Stritch University and Greenfield High School and has been a part of the Milwaukee Wave Summer Camps. Blake has been with Mequon United Soccer Club since 2012.
Sergio Diaz - Select Level Coach, Girls Program (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Sergio Diaz holds a USSF-D coaching license. Diaz grew up playing for Club Deportivo
El Alba in Argentina, the Boca Juniors Youth Program in Argentina, the professional
club Velez Sarfield youth and the professional club Deportivo Merlo (reserve team).
Diaz moved to the United States in 1995 and played for the Mequon United Soccer
Club’s Majors Team from 1996-2001 and won a state championship in 2000. Since 1999, Diaz has coached with both the boys and girls programs at Mequon United and was the assistant coach of the Championship U13 Girls Red Team in 2007.
Michael Engroff - Select Level Coach and Age Group Technical Director for the U7/U8 Juniors Program (email@example.com)
Michael “Mikey” Engroff holds a USSF-D license. Engroff grew up playing soccer with Mequon United on a team that won six state cups, were regional cup semi-finalists twice and regional cup Midwest finalists once. Engroff played on the Wisconsin ODP team for five years. Following his career at Mequon United, Engroff played college soccer at Ohio Wesleyan University (1998 National Champions), where he obtained a BA in physical therapy and a minor in zoology. Engroff has been coaching with Mequon Soccer Club since 2002, where he coached boys teams to state cup finals in both 2005 and 2006 and led his U-13 boys team to the SYL National Finals in 2006.
Vincent Goldstein - Goal Keeper Coach (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Vincent Goldstein holds a USSF-E license. Goldstein has been a goalkeeper since his youth days, earning a four-year varsity starter position in high school and was selected
twice to the all city conference’s first team. Goldstein has been coaching at various clubs and organizations since 2003, including Riverside University High School, New Berlin Soccer Club and SOCA Soccer Club. Goldstein has been with Mequon Soccer Club since 2011.
Frantz Mathieu - Select Level Coach Boys Program (email@example.com)
Frantz Mathieu holds a USSF-B License and has an extensive playing and coaching
background. In his early years, Mathieu played for Haiti’s top club team and the Haitian National Team. Professionally, he has played for the Chicago Sting, Baltimore Blast, Tampa Bay Rowdies and the Montreal Manic. Mathieu coached for over 10 years in Haiti for their top club team and has coached high school and college teams in the Chicago area. Mathieu has coached for Mequon Soccer Club since 2010.
Santos Valdivia - Select Level Coach (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Santos Valdivia holds a USSF-D license. Valdivia grew up playing soccer in Mexico. He
coached at Club Latino for 10 years and at Cedarburg High School for 3 years. Valdivia
has been with Mequon Soccer Club since 2009, serving as head coach and assistant coach for various teams.
Lito Zabala - Select Level Coach Boys Program (email@example.com)
Lito Zabala holds a USSF-D license, but because of his extensive professional experience
and career, he was granted permission to apply for a USSF-B license. Zabala played
division 1 soccer for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he obtained a degree
in education. During his time at UWM, Zabala was selected to play in the Collegiate
Senior Bowl. He played in the National Olympic Sports Festival where he was a gold
medal winner and the leading scorer. Zabala has played for various professional teams
including the Milwaukee Wave, Chicago Power, Carolina Lightning and the Nashville
Diamonds. Zabala has extensive coaching experience with high school, professional and
club teams. Zabala has been with Mequon Soccer Club since 2008.
