Mequon Soccer Club, a.k.a. Mequon United, has long been known for its ability to provide the highest level of coaching and player development. The players are exposed to proper environment through training and competition to foster excellence. The Club has most recently put a stronger emphasis on the younger age groups and the girls program. As always, our older teams compete well throughout the state as well as outside of the state. Our boys teams compete in the State League, Midwest Regional League, and the Super Y League. The Club offers two levels in Select as well as in our youth developmental program (Juniors and Academy)Club play starts at ages 4 & 5 and offers soccer to boys and girls through the U19 level. The Club also has a men's team which competes in the Majors Division. The men's team won the State Championship in 1995 & 1996, and a Midwest Championship in 1996. In 1993, the U19 boys played in the National Championship game and lost in a shootout. This 2nd place finish is the highest placement by any boy’s team in the history of Wisconsin. Out of the 9 teams in Wisconsin history to have qualified for this event, 3 of those teams came from Mequon Soccer Club. Our U17 & U18 girl’s team’s in 1994 & 1995 finished 3rd in the country. In 2005, our Super Y League franchise ranked 6th in the Nation based on winning percentage. In 2006, we were ranked 2nd, advancing our U13, U15, and U20 boys teams to the National Finals, while our U17 Boys advanced to the US Club Soccer Nationals. In 2007, our U13 boys & U17 Boys advanced to the US club Soccer Nationals, while our U14 Boys advanced to the Super Y League national Finals.
Player development is the key. Mequon Soccer Club players enjoy consistent development throughout their years in the Club. This is why we tend to attract some of the areas best players. Over the years, our players have excelled and have gained national recognition. We have annually placed 6-10 players on the regional SYL ODP teams who go on to attend the National SYL ODP Camps.
College Connections and Opportunities
Very few clubs in the country have been such a positive force for player development especially in terms of college placement. As many as 200 players from Mequon Soccer Club have gone on to play college soccer. College coaches from around the country contact our coaches every year in search of the most talented players that have had the correct development to step into the next level. College coaches know and respect Mequon Soccer Club's ability to develop the type of player that can help their programs. Mequon Soccer Club players have gone on to play at the following schools:
